They spent their time teaching students with New West as well as the Lethbridge School Division. They specialize in directing and improvising and loves to teach children the joy of theatre and acting. When they aren’t snuggling their animals on the couch and crocheting, they can be found judging Magic the Gathering events around the country and running Dungeon and Dragon campaigns!

Keith Miller

Educator – Stage Combat
Keith Miller has been learning fight choreography since playing Laertes in a production of “Hamlet” at the UofL in 2012. This new found passion led him to study with fight directors from all over the world at workshops like The Paddy Crean International Workshop, David Boushey Fight & Fire workshop, and with multiple directors from Fight Directors Canada (FDC). Keith took this passion for movement and choreography into the education program and has been a full time teacher for the last 10 years, 5 of which was as a fine arts teacher in town at Senator Joyce Fairbairn. In all that time he continued to grow as a fight choreographer and director working on numerous productions in town and even some local film projects. Keith is excited to be part of the Alumni Season at the UofL directing the action and sword fighting scenes in their mainstage production of “Paradise Lost”. Keith can’t wait to begin working with these bright young movers and actors bringing enthusiasm, drive and action to some stories, in a safe way of course.

Achilles Friesen

Achilles Friesen is a recent ULeth performance and philosophy graduate and life-long theatre enthusiast who loves to learn as many different art styles as they possibly can. From writing, acting, directing, designing, guitar-playing, singing, clowning, and even the occasional harmonica solo, Achilles is brimming with confidence and is always finding themselves working to become a better artist and a Lethbridge community member by trying to bring a smile to everyone’s face. You may have seen Achilles as a performer in last summer’s Hootenanny!: There’s a Turtle in my Tub! And is currently working on sound designing for this summer’s production- Scout and the Rarest Badge Ever! Achilles is beyond excited to create some memories this summer and help young voices become confident in themselves and what they can create. Art is for everyone!
