This one-woman play follows the story of Marg, a self-proclaimed “hard woman” from a small farming town. When her life at home starts to unravel, Marg escapes on an unlikely adventure, becoming a country and western singer in the process. Filled with enchanting music, a dry sense of humour, and compelling tales, Marg Szkaluba (Pissy’s Wife) delivers an optimistic perspective on the drive to find true happiness.
“So thoroughly descriptive is Chambers’ script, one can almost smell the sharp scent of the Szkaluba farm and feel the oppressiveness of Marg’s bleak situation....a genuinely uplifting play...” – Lisa Wilton, Calgary Sun
Ron Chambers is a Lethbridge playwright whose dynamic works have been produced by professional theatre companies in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Los Angeles, and other cities.
